• An intimate, stylish wedding in London

We are really pleased to publish the first of our real wedding today and what better way to launch this new feature than with this lovely wedding submitted to us by talented photographer Sara Reeve. Sara is based in Brighton and specialises in beautiful, elegant and modern images that are just a little bit quirky. Sara loves getting to know her brides & grooms and make sure that the photographs she produces really reflect how unique they are as a couple and how special their wedding day is. Sara covers weddings across Sussex and the South East.

The real wedding featured today is Asha & Simon’s elegant and relaxed wedding which took place on 29th May 2011. Asha & Simon are a very stylish couple who wanted to get married, but wanted to make sure it was a really relaxed day of celebration. Asha chose an amazing dress by designer Maria Grachvogel, an old friend of Simon’s, which made her look just timelessly elegant. Asha hated the idea of being the centre of attention so opted for a small intimate ceremony just for close family at Hampstead Town Hall, and the happy couple moved onto a large celebration with guests at the beautiful and laidback Clissold Arms in Muswell Hill, London. The most important thing to Asha and Simon were their family and friends, and that everyone just had a great day – so they kept the décor and favours to a stylish minimum and instead focused on the entertainment. In the afternoon the guests were entertained by 1940s themed singing trio The Majorie Belles . They also held a “chilli off” where the bravest guests competed to see who could eat the strongest chilli. After dinner, guests were treated to an acoustic performance by Simon’s friend, and Asha’s sisters danced to a bhangra set. Then it was all followed by a good old knees up!
