It’s no secret that here at Hope and Grace we love a bit of cake. That’s why, when we heard about the stunning new range of wedding cakes by Fortnum and Mason, we just had to go and take a peak.
Inspired by the exclusive store’s long history, its love of craftsmanship and passion for fine foods, Fortnum and Mason have developed a range of six beautifully designed wedding cakes, which can all be customised in many different ways.
Our favourite from the range is definitely the elegant Georgian Lace design:
This cake is an intricate Georgian lace inspired design on a contrasting colour background. The clever cake people at Fortnum and Mason can even match the lace design on the cake to that of your bridal gown or veil if you should so desire.
Other show stoppers in the range include:
Georgian Porcelain: inspired by the designs of the designs of the Wedgewood China company which were a favourite of Queen Charlotte.
Cameo: this understated design was inspired by Queen Charlotte’s love of cameos. A romantic motif of the bride and groom , framed by intricate piping, is the focal point of the cake.
Ruffle: this is a stunning and richly textured cake with a design reminiscent of garters and petticoats, topped with an elegant handmade sugar flower.
Tea Rose: this beautiful and very romantic cake is decorated with hand painted tea roses. This cake is the perfect centrepiece for and English summer wedding.
Blossom: this pretty cake is inspired by delicate wedding blooms and is covered with petals falling like confetti. Each of the tiny petals is made by hand.
As if these stunning creations aren’t enough, there is even a range of matching biscuit favours to impress your guests with.
So, it looks like the cake stakes have just been upped in our opinion!
